Gloria Deo Academy has an ongoing relationship with The Gem Foundation, a home caring for special needs children in Kampala, Uganda. Mission trips are scheduled every three years so that Upper School (Logic and Rhetoric) students and their families are given one, if not two, opportunities to attend the trip. Each class in the Grammar School and each House in the Upper School sponsors a child, or “gem”, to support the mission of this amazing ministry. In addition to donating funds from their “gem jars,” students communicate via monthly video calls to their sponsored gems, building relationships and fostering connections across the globe.
